Director of Engineering / Manufacturing

This role is responsible for all product process and engineering activities of the US company. The role directs the strategy of the engineering department and oversees its progress. This role will also have responsibility for the research and development aspects of the engineering group.

Principal Responsibilities:
• Implements strategic direction for the engineering department, ensuring that engineering designs and services are consistent with present and future customer needs.
• Stays abreast of the competition and competitive threats, and new technology, providing in-sight, recommendations, and solutions in timely manner.
• Conceives, analyzes, and presents new product proposals along with competitive evaluation.
• Sets engineering standards and specifications for products and drawings throughout organization.
• Ensures that product designs throughout organization meets all applicable industry codes and specification
• Develops and implements ideas of continuous improvement of engineering procedures, designs and services.
• Ensures confidentiality and reliability of product design, codes, processes, and intellectual property.
• Establishes and maintains an environment for providing positive and developmental feedback to improve associate performance.
• Act an internal resource expert for engineering throughout the organization.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Registered PE license preferred
• 10+ years experience in progressive management of an engineering group
• Advanced knowledge of structural engineering principles
• A customer-focused and results-oriented attitude with the drive to support sales growth
• Must be authorized to work in the US without requirement of work visa sponsorship
