24371- Candidates must have medical device experience as well as experience in plastic part design and molding. Responsibilities: •Designs complex subsystems or components with minimal guidance. •Prototypes, analyzes and reports on findings regarding design to appropriate professional standards. •Contributes to the invention of new technologies for future product. •Contributes to the definition of processes for the manufacture of new and existing product. •Researches and analyzes data such as customer design input, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application. •Designs products or systems such as instruments, controls, machines, and mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, fluid or heat transfer systems. •Directs and coordinates fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications. •Coordinates operation, maintenance, and repair activities to obtain optimum utilization of machines and equipment. •Directs support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication. •Liaison with manufacturing, document control, and quality functions. Qualifications: •B.S. in Mechanical or General Engineering. •4+ years of directly applicable mechanical engineering experience. •Excellent oral and written communication skills. •Solidworks, AutoCAD •Experienced in design for injection molding Desired Qualifications: •Knowledge Finite Element Analyses •Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
